collage workshop at the Duke International House

Collage2a

A few impressions from my latest collage workshop at the Duke University International House during the Spouses and Partners English Hour.

Since this workshop was open to anybody without registration, I tried to prepare it to be as accessible as possible for everybody — even for people who had no experience making art at all.

After a short introduction and an overview about the history of collage, from the invention of paper till its appearance as a modern art concept, I encouraged the participants this time to concentrate mainly on color tones while putting together their collages. But as always: all other approaches were more than welcome.
It was a wonderful experience filled with thoughtful quietness, lively conversations, and amazing results discussed in short presentations.
